Addis Ababa — Global Health Organization (GHO) and Africa CDC have signed a memorandum of understanding for long term strategic partnership to advance the Africa Health Security and Sovereignty Agenda. The collaboration covers epidemic early warning, laboratory systems,  health workforce development and local pharmaceutical manufacturing. Aligned with the 7-1-7 surveillance response target, Africa CDC leads country-level implementation while GHO provides global experts and academic resources. A joint working group will oversee annual projects. Upholding Africaled ownership, the partnership aims to strengthen continental health resilience and foster a new model for South-South health cooperation.
