GHO has established a strategic partnership on health promotion with the Ministry of Health of Brazil. Rooted in Brazil’s public health practices, the cooperation focuses on chronic disease prevention and control, national health literacy improvement and community based health interventions to advance health promotion across Latin America. Both sides will conduct policy dialogues, technical exchanges and capacity building initiatives, drawing on Brazil’s primary health care experience to develop localized health promotion programmes. Joint projects will cover multisector collaboration, health education and high risk population health management. Monitoring data and practical cases will be shared to build a regional exchange platform. The partnership aims to narrow health inequities, deliver equitable and accessible health services, generate replicable models, advance global health goals and improve public well being.
